Road Trip Sock Yarn

This event is intended to showcase my finished works utilizing my indie dyed yarns and dye style. Small acts of intentional kindness leading to greater positive social change is a major motivator for Road Trip Sock Yarn. From the very beginning her indie yarn dyeing journey, Ali has focused upon kindness. We see these action in effect through the Herd of Cats Colorway Collections, inspired by local adoptable pets. This monetary donation platform quickly expanded to additional community programs like Colorado Tree Coalition, W.O.L.F. Sanctuary, Longmont Humane, Boulder Humane, Just Us For The Animals, Knit the Rainbow, to name a few. These organizations emphasize compassion, thus aligning values while financially helping within the community. Transformations in the actual dye process began in early 2021 with the implementation of better environmental choices in every step of the dye process, leading to her Greener Front Range Dye Practices. An ever-evolving process with kindness always taking priority. While we can smile at her cute tag line “Souvenir Skeins Don’t Count As Stash;” hearts can be warmed knowing that Ali is constantly working behind the scenes to continue her self-imposed do better, be better campaign within the community. All can be excited to be a part of the Road Trip Sock Yarn journey towards better environmental practices and community awareness while collecting those beautiful souvenir skeins along the route.
