Michael Riedy Art | Hexadoodles & Abstracts

At this booth I’ll be offering original abstract acrylic paintings, large-scale original hexadoodle posterboards, prints, digital art, and stickers. I’m also developing a communal hexadoodle project and inviting people to learn about (and potentially contribute to) a growing collective mosaic. My acrylic paintings are layered and intuitive, inspired by atomic structure, Colorado landscapes, and the idea that we are all connected from the microscopic level to the mountains and beyond. I build depth through texture, color, and movement…letting each piece evolve naturally. I also enjoy creating “Hexadoodles”; detailed drawings inside a single hexagon. It is a meditative process for me and each hexagon feels like its own small universe. There’s no pressure to create a giant masterpiece as I like to focus on one hexagon at a time. Over time, as more are added, they naturally come together into something larger.
